My name is Charles Beck and I’m campaigning for Lacey City Council, Position 4.
Many people know me as Chuck. I’m running for City Council because I want to enhance the safety and quality
of life for all Lacey residents. I will do this while being frugal with your tax dollars.
I support maintaining essential public services. We must aim for a balance between what are essential services while at the same time being realistic as to what is the proper role of government.
As your councilman, when looking at what should be the proper role ofgovernment, I will ask three simple questions.
- Is it truly necessary?
- How can
it be done more efficiently? - Can we fund it, without raising taxes?

Government must live within its means. Property tax bills have soared. For families and seniors on fixed incomes, these increases are real burdens.

We must create a climate where businesses can grow and prosper. By expanding our tax base through job growth and economic development, we can forgo the need to increase taxes.
